We’re looking for an Account Director to join our growing US team in New York.

About the role:
We’re looking for an Account Director to join our growing US team in New York. In this role, you’ll lead across all aspects of account management, from pitching and developing new client programs to delivering standout social campaigns and driving growth within existing accounts. You’ll be the key link between our clients and the internal Coolr teams, ensuring the delivery of bold, world-class social media work that makes an impact.

Every role at Coolr plays a vital part in the work we do. Here are some of the key areas of responsibility for this role:
- Responsible for the successful running of all activity on allocated client accounts.
- Building and maintaining positive client relationships to encourage retention and successful increase of scope.
- Responsible for budgeting of client projects, ensuring that client budgets are appropriately distributed based on the brief, agency rate cards and agreed scope of work.
- Working closely with departments across the agency to develop and create the best work.
- Taking a leading role in new business pitch processes, often leading on the deck and working closely with the New Business Director.
- Line management and of Account Managers and coaching of junior team members, supporting and leading them in their career development and respective roles.
What we are looking for 👀
Whilst we appreciate, you’re not just your CV and skills are transferable, these are some of the skills and experiences we think would set you up for success in this role:
- An experienced Senior Account Manager or Account Director with a proven track record in a social-first agency environment.
- Confident delivering projects end-to-end — from scoping timelines and managing budgets to overseeing documentation and ensuring delivery against briefs, all with exceptional attention to detail.
- Skilled at building strong, trusted client relationships and motivating internal teams to deliver their best work.
- A natural leader who can guide, support, and develop a team with positivity and clarity.
- Highly organised and capable of managing multiple clients and priorities, balancing workloads and resources effectively.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and internet culture, with a passion for what’s happening in pop culture and online communities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable using collaboration tools such as Workplace.
- A proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude and willing to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional results
